HSP Valves — Opens India Office

HSP Valves strengthens global delivery capability with new office in Chennai, India.

HSP Valves has expanded its international operations by opening a new office in Chennai, India, further strengthening the company’s ability to support customers across the Middle East, the UK, and wider global markets.

The new facility, located at Tamarai Tech Park in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, has been established to enhance engineering, commercial and documentation support for HSP’s growing project activity. The office will play an important role in supporting complex valve and automation projects while increasing the company’s capacity to respond to customer requirements across multiple regions.

The expansion reflects the continued growth of HSP’s Middle East operations. Since 2014, the team has grown from two people to more than twenty specialists supporting clients across the GCC region. The addition of the Chennai office provides further operational capacity to support this growth, enabling HSP to increase support for its Middle East customers while strengthening engagement with clients and partners across the wider APAC region.

Chennai was selected for its strong engineering talent pool and the presence of many EPC contractors and end users operating in the region. Many of HSP’s customers already have engineering and project offices based in India, making the location a natural extension of the company’s global operations.

India’s own oil and gas industry is also experiencing significant growth, and the new office positions HSP to support opportunities in the region while drawing on the expertise of the wider HSP team.

The Chennai office has been established with a deliberately selected team bringing together strong experience across valve engineering, automation systems, project support and technical documentation. The focus has been on building a group capable of supporting complex valve and automation packages, with expertise spanning valve OEM engineering, actuator and controls specification, automation system optimisation and the rigorous documentation requirements that accompany major projects.

This combination of technical and commercial capability ensures the team can provide meaningful support across the full lifecycle of HSP projects, from engineering and specification through to documentation control and project execution.

Achuthan Haridas, General Manager, travelled from the Dubai office to oversee the induction and onboarding of the first group of employees, ensuring the new office is closely aligned with the company’s established technical standards, processes and customer expectations.

Commenting on the expansion, Achuthan Haridas said:

“The opening of our Chennai office is an important step in strengthening HSP’s global capability. Our Middle East operations have grown significantly over the past decade, and this expansion allows us to build further capacity while continuing to provide the high levels of responsiveness and technical support our customers expect.

By combining the expertise of our teams across the Middle East, the UK and now India, we are creating a stronger platform to support our clients and deliver complex valve and automation projects worldwide.”

The Chennai team will serve as a key support hub for HSP’s global operations, working closely with experienced Middle East specialists to deliver complex valve and automation projects for customers.
